Becoming a Your Skin Is In Ambassador is a unique opportunity to include on your resume. If you are passionate about sun safety, are interested in entering the health industry, or you just want to share this important life saving information with your family and friends, this is a great opportunity for you!
TRIVIA WITH FRIENDS
Our Your Skin Is In course is a great way to connect with friends by playing a fun trivia game together that will help you learn the importance of sun safety! Let us know the dates and we’ll send you an “I love protecting my skin” tee and some SPF lip balms in a variety of flavors for prizes!
ADDITIONAL OPPORTUNITY FOR COLLEGE STUDENTS
College students who are Your Skin Is In Ambassadors, here’s a great additional opportunity to make a difference on your campus and a great resume builder! By participating in the National Council on Skin Cancer Prevention, Indoor Tan-Free Skin Smart Campus initiative, your college/university will be named a “Tan-Free” campus by prohibiting indoor tanning devices on campus and in affiliated buildings, as well as by promoting skin cancer prevention education. By making your campus a Skin Smart Campus, you are helping to protect your fellow students against the dangers of tanning beds, (did you know using a tanning bed just once a month increases your risk of melanoma by 59%!?) We are here to provide support for you along the way and when speaking with your school’s administrators about this initiative. Become a Your Skin Is In Ambassador by completing the following:
- Complete the eLearning lesson.
- Take the Your Skin Is In Pledge yourself and encourage others to do the same!
- Educate your classmates and spread the word. Use the Ambassador Toolkit (found below) filled with great ideas to help kickstart the discussion.
- Become a leader in your community! Build your resume while educating your community on safe skin practices and how they can protect themselves from skin cancer.
As an Ambassador, you will:
- Represent IMPACT Melanoma by practicing sun safe behavior.
- Be featured in our eNewsletter, social media, website etc.
- Have the opportunity to contribute to IMPACT Melanoma’s social media with posts about sun safety.
- Request a box filled with goodies, a tee shirt, posters, SPF 15 lip balm, UV bracelets and more!
