Attention all summer camps in Maine and Vermont!
IMPACT Melanoma is providing sunscreen dispensers and sunscreen to YOUR community. This encourages you and your neighbors throughout Maine to prevent skin cancer and Practice Safe Skin. Only 39% of people surveyed “always” wear sunscreen and, here at IMPACT Melanoma, we want to change that to 100%.
In the same poll, we also found out that:
“51 percent of survey participants said they would use free public sunscreen if it were available to them”
There is a demand for sun protection and we are trying to meet the demand with free sunscreen and other things to keep you away from harmful UV rays. Because of the grant given to us from the Department of Public Health, we are able to provide sunscreen and sunscreen dispensers to you for free. We’re not stopping there though!
We are also providing each camp with a camp toolkit. These goodies help campers and counselors Practice Safe Skin in a fun, educational way. These kits include UV beads, frisbees, lip balm, bracelets, coloring books and more! When it comes to obtaining our Bright Guard sunscreen-dispensing units to be utilized by your community members, we’ve got your covered.
