18th Annual Golf Tournament and Auction
We’d like to send a bit THANK YOU to all of the players, volunteers, and sponsors for taking part in our successful 18th Annual IMPACT Melanoma Golf Tournament and Auction. As a result of your support, we raised over $175,000.
The morning overcast rainy dreariness gave way to a clear afternoon and it wound up being beautiful on both courses. Clearly, the weather didn’t dampen your enthusiasm and we have some amazing pictures of sunscreen applications on the course!
Mobile bidding for our silent auction and raffle were a great success and retired
MLB Pitcher, Mike Trombley shared his wake up call about the need to be vigilant about being safe in the sun as a result of his skin cancer diagnosis. Remember applying sunscreen regularly with an SPF of 30 and reapplying every 2 hours when outside can reduce the risk of melanoma by up to 80%. An ounce of protection can save a life.
Thanks again to all that made this such a great event for the 18th straight year!
New Sunscreen Applications
Speaking of sunscreen applications, we’re pleased to announce the installation of more of our Bright Guard sunscreen dispensers in two of the country’s biggest cities!
Along with our partner UCLA, our sun safety stations, fully equipped with our automatic sunscreen dispensers, will be unveiled on the Santa Monica Pier, to kick off the start of July!
On top of that, we have suite of dispensers being installed and initiated at both the beaches and at pools throughout New York City this summer. Be on the lookout for those beautiful yellow boxes, and, if you’re feeling it, snap a selfie and tag yourself with #PracticeSafeSkin to help spread the word!
